Emergency Operations Centre
An Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) is activated by senior municipal officials to provide overall direction and control, coordination and resource support related to the emergency response.
During the Chuckegg Creek Wildfire, the Town relied on people from a wide range of organizations and communities, including: its own Town staff, Mackenzie County, Dena Tha’, Alberta Sheriffs, RCMP, Telus, AltaGas, ATCO, Alberta Agriculture & Forestry, Alberta Emergency Management Agency, Alberta Health Services, and the Northwest Incident Management Team (IMT) which is made up of staff from municipalities across northwest Alberta. The Town was later assisted by Canada Taskforce 2 and Incident Management Teams from other parts of the province.
