The Town of High Level remains on an evacuation alert.

Due to the High volume of alerts regarding the Mackenzie County evacuations, the Town of High Level evacuation alert is no longer listed on the Alberta Emergency Alert website. However, the Town of High Level remains on an Evacuation Alert.

If conditions change and an Evacuation is ordered, Alberta Emergency Alert will release a new alert to inform the residents of High Level.

The evacuation alert is simply a notification to allow you time to prepare for potential evacuation. You are not required to evacuate at this time. If an evacuation order is issued, you will be given notice beforehand.

We advise residents to stay prepared in the event of an evacuation (fuelling vehicles, gathering documents, preparing food and water, etc).

Information on building a 72-hour ready-to-go Emergency kit can be found at https://www.alberta.ca/build-an-emergency-kit.aspx. In the event of an evacuation order, you will be notified of reception centre locations and evacuation routes.

If an evacuation order is issued be sure to bring medication, blankets, sleeping bags, personal items, pets, and identification.

For all inquiries please contact the Town of High Level at (780) 926-2201. (Monitored 5:00am - 8:00 pm)

For additional information please access the Town of High Level’s website www.highlevel.ca or follow the Town’s Facebook page.
