Addiction Outpatient Counseling & Referrals


The High Level Area office provides outpatient counselling for alcohol, drugs, and gambling. The office also provides outpatient counselling, assessment, and/or referrals to a network of inpatient treatments centres or to detox services.

Tobacco Reduction Program


A Tobacco Reduction Counsellor is available to deliver specialized tobacco programming to High Level and High Level Schools. Quit Core, Alberta Quits.

Addiction Presentations/Consultations


The High Level Area office provides prevention services to all groups in all communities. The focus is to increase understanding and awareness of alcohol, drug, tobacco, and gambling related issues.

Services include, but are not limited to, training and consultation to workplace situations, and education materials from grades 3-12. Any community group can access these services.

Mental Health Services: Adult Short-Term Treatment Services


Adult Short-Term Treatment Services are designed to serve people who want to improve their lives
and deal with their struggles by attending regularly scheduled treatment services.

Mental Health Services: Child & Youth Treatment Services


Our qualified term of mental health therapists and psychiatrists offer information, consultation, assessment, therapy, and referral to other resources. People who access our services may struggle with such issues as depression, anxiety, psychosis, or trauma. Parental/guardian involvement is important at every step.

Mental Health Services: Walk-In Counselling


Walk-in counselling is designed to empower people to make changes in their lives by recognizing and building on their strengths and resources.
  • Program Dates: Thursdays, 11:30am - 4:30pm (Last appointment at 3:15pm).
    • Sessions are 50 minutes
    • No appointments needed

Mental Health Services: Assertive Outreach Services


This voluntary community based program assists individuals with chronic and persistent mental health issues to live independently in their community, to promote recovery, and minimizes hospitalization.

  • Target Group: Adults

Mental Health Services: Families First


Families First is a voluntary Early Intervention program to assist and support parents and families with children 0-6 years. This program offers:
  • Assessments
  • Community-based education programming
  • Home visitation
  • In-office services
  • Parenting education
  • Support groups

Mental Health Services: Mental Health Promotion Facilitator


The Mental Health Promotion Facilitator works to develop and deliver programs and services that promote healthy decision making based on the principles of health promotion, population health, and determinants of health. This program provides promotion, awareness, and access to Alberta Health Services mental health services to the general public and Alberta Health Services staff.
