Our Region has a vast history, so our Museum, is laid out to showcase the chonological development of our area. Starting with the first people who inhabited this area over 11,000 years ago mving to the fur trade, farming, then to early settlements, our museum takes you on a fascinating trip through time.
The primary exhibit of the Museum, the "Northern Trading Post", features an outstanding collection of over 1,600 food and medicine containers, donated by local residents. These, plus other artifacts in use during the late 1800's and early 1900's are showcased in a typical trading post/general store setting with living quarters attached. A regional historical photo display is a valued part of the collection.
