ATCO
There are 2 power feeds that service the Town of High Level, one from Paddle Prairie to the south and the other from Rainbow Lake to the west. On May 20, 2019 the fire managed to burn power poles located on both feeds and disrupt the power supply to the region.
ATCO was able to restore power on May 22, 2019, in Mackenzie County, Town of High Level, Fort Vermilion, Dene Tha’ First Nations, and the rural communities.
Throughout the duration of the emergency the fire burnt many power poles, ATCO was able to repair the power polls as they were destroyed and continue supplying power to the region.
