A Telus Mobile Clinic has been deployed to communities in the north to assist with primary and mental healthcare needs during the current wildfire emergency.
Health for Good Mobile Clinics have been deployed to places where they can be used to provide those services to people experiencing homelessness. Telus is partnering with Indigenous Services Canada to deliver emergency supplies and healthcare services to wildfire evacuees.
The Edmonton based Mobile Clinic is being deployed to areas with the greatest need. Since leaving Edmonton on the morning of Wednesday May 10, the clinic has supported evacuees with donations and services in East Prairie, Slave Lake and Peace River. It has since moved further north after being dropped off at the Northwest Health Centre in High Level on May 12.
For anyone looking for support in their own community, TELUS Health has initiated a free community crisis hotline available 24/7 to all Canadians at 1-844-751-2133.
