Christmas Card Contest
#BETTERTOGETHER
Contest theme: all pieces of artwork should represent the town’s motto highlighted in the Strategic Plan “better together, for a thriving community”.
What kind of artwork is acceptable: this is a multi-medium contest, so it is open to all art forms such as photography, painting, drawing and so forth.
How to enter
Digital
if your submission is digital, such as a photo, it can be emailed to municlerk@highlevel.ca
In-person
Physical copies of artwork can be brought to the office in person Monday-Friday, from 8:30 am-4:30 pm.
ALL submission must have a completed the Entry Form, which can be picked up at the town office or downloaded here (link to a fillable PDF with title of the piece, artist first and last name, mailing address, phone number and email address.)
Who can enter: High Level community residents are eligible to enter.
How many submissions can be entered: there is no limit of submissions per person.
Use of artwork: the winning pieces will be used to print town Christmas cards and featured on social media and the Town of High Level website.
End date: the contest will close at 4:30 pm on October 10, 2023.
How will winners be chosen: Council will review all entries and select the winners. All winners will be contacted on November 1st with the contact information provided by them in the Entry Form.
Prizes: there will be 6 designs chosen and each winner will be awarded a $100 local gift card.
Can I have my original piece of artwork back?: Yes, if you submit an original work in-person, it will be returned to you upon request once the contest winners have been announced. To request your artwork back, please contact Lydie Watters @municlerk@highlevel.ca
Town of High Level Artwork Agreement
By submitting, you agree that you are the author of the image and authorized to license the piece of artwork for use by the Town of High Level if you are deemed one of the winners of this contest. By this agreement, you grant the Town of High Level to publish your artwork on Christmas cards, on social media and online. This license is not transferrable to a third party and you remain the sole owner of the artwork’s copyright. No transfer of intellectual property is made by this agreement.
