Our Mission

To offer developmental and support programs to benefit the well being of children, families, and the community.

Our Philosophy

The philosophy of the Jump Start Play School is based on the belief that children learn best through play and, within the boundaries of a safe environment, creativity will be fostered, nurtured, and encouraged. We will use a 'learning through play' approach as recommended by the Canadian Child Care Foundation.

We also believe in:

• Universality, equality, respect, and welcome cultural diversity
• Promoting non-violence and safety for each child
• A child's family and the child's first and most important teachers
• Supporting parents in developing their child's literacy skills, emotional skills, social skills, attitudes, and values
