The Town is excited to announce the launch of our new e-permitting program! Applying for development permits has never been easier. 

Whether you’re a resident, developer, or contractor, our e-permitting program is here to simplify the development permit application and approval process and make your experience smoother. 

What’s New?

• Convenient online applications: Submit your development permit applications directly through our user-friendly online portal. 
• Track your progress: Stay updated with real-time status notifications on your applications
• Save time: No more dealing with paperwork and printed out application forms. It’s as simple as going on your phone or computer and filling out the application. 

How to Get Started? 

1. Visit the website at https://citywideportal.com?client=37 to access the e-permitting portal. 
2. Select the planning module and start your application. 
3. Fill out the necessary details and submit your permit request directly through the platform. 

KEY TERMS

Affordable Housing
A housing unit that is intended for households whose needs are not met by the marketplace. 

Missing Middle Housing
Includes suites, duplexes, triplexes, row housing, fourplexes, and low-rise apartments.

Multi-Unit Housing
Includes 4-storey+ apartments and ground-oriented apartments. 

MISSING MIDDLE HOUSING DESIGN CATALOGUE

In addition to our new e-permitting program, the Town is introducing the CMHC Design Catalogue for missing middle housing. With this catalogue, you can fast-track your development permit application by choosing from pre-approved building plans! 

Accessory Dwelling Units are permitted uses in the R-1, R-2, and R-3 Districts!

How to get started 

1. Click the link to the housing unit you are interested in building and download the associated building plans and floor plans. 
2. Login to Citywide and follow the steps above to submit your application. 
3. When asked to upload your building plans and floor plans, simply submit the pre-approved designs you have downloaded.
